Junk Removal for Baldwin Township

Baldwin Township is a small residential township of about 2,000 people tucked between Castle Shannon, Mt. Lebanon and the Pittsburgh neighborhoods of Brookline and Overbrook. At about half a square mile, it’s not the same place as Baldwin Borough, which is a separate and much larger municipality nearby.

JUNKED. comes from Canonsburg, about 12 miles away in a straight line, and the township is inside our 15-mile service area. We carry out what you point to, load it, haul it and sweep up after.

Here’s how a job in Baldwin Township works: call or text (412) 905-9453 or send the request form, ideally with a few photos. We give you a free quote, show up in the window we agreed on, and do all the carrying and loading. We donate and recycle what we can, haul away the rest, and sweep up before we leave. JUNKED. is fully insured and licensed.

What's Left of a Once-Huge Township

Baldwin Township was set up in 1844 and named for Henry Baldwin, a Pittsburgh lawyer who sat on the U.S. Supreme Court. It once covered more than 10,000 acres, including today’s Carrick, Hays, Brookline and Overbrook, plus Brentwood, Whitehall, Castle Shannon and Baldwin Borough. Coal mining was once its largest industry, and it was home to the county’s first glass factories.

Today it is mostly quiet streets of single-family homes. Typical jobs are attic and basement cleanouts, old furniture, mattresses and appliances, and the occasional full-house cleanout when a longtime owner moves.

Many houses sit on hillsides, so we expect steps. Tell us how many when you call.

Since the township is so small, many jobs here are one-day projects: one attic, one basement, or one room of furniture after someone moves in with family. Put a piece of tape on what goes, clear a path to the door, and we handle the carrying, loading and hauling. If you find more after we leave, call again and we’ll come back.
