Brookline is a South Hills neighborhood of Pittsburgh that takes its name from Brookline, Massachusetts, which early settlers thought it resembled. It was part of West Liberty Borough until Pittsburgh absorbed it in 1908, and much of it grew up along the streetcar line that once ran down Brookline Boulevard.
JUNKED. drives up from Canonsburg, about 13 miles away in a straight line, to haul away the things Brookline households are done with. We do the carrying from attic to curb, load the truck, and leave the space swept.
Here’s how a job in Brookline works: call or text (412) 905-9453 or send the request form, ideally with a few photos. We give you a free quote, show up in the window we agreed on, and do all the carrying and loading. We donate and recycle what we can, haul away the rest, and sweep up before we leave. JUNKED. is fully insured and licensed.
Brookline touches seven neighbors: Beechview, Bon Air, Carrick and Overbrook inside the city, plus Baldwin Township, Mt. Lebanon and Dormont. Brookline Boulevard is the main business street, and the 39 Brookline streetcar ran here from 1905 until 1966.
Houses along these streets were built close together on hillsides, with front steps, narrow side yards and basements that have been holding boxes for decades. That shapes the work. Most Brookline jobs we expect are basement cleanouts, attic clear-outs, old couches and dressers carried down tight stairways, and full-house cleanouts when a long-time family home is sold.
Parking can be the hardest part on a hilly block. When you book, tell us whether there’s a driveway, an alley or only street parking so we can plan where the truck goes before we arrive.
Basement Cleanouts: Decades of stored boxes and furniture brought up and out.
Attic Cleanouts: Boxes and old furniture brought down safely.
Furniture Removal: Couches, dressers, beds and recliners carried out.
House Cleanouts: Whole homes emptied, room by room.
Senior Downsizing Cleanouts: Patient help when a parent moves to a smaller place.
Appliance Removal: Washers, dryers, stoves and fridges hauled away.
