Junk Removal for Banksville

Banksville is a West End neighborhood of Pittsburgh where the city meets the South Hills. Banksville Road is its main corridor and a well-used route between the South Hills and Downtown through the Fort Pitt Tunnels. The neighborhood was once part of Union Township before it joined the city.

It’s about 13 miles from our Canonsburg base in a straight line, and the drive up is straightforward. JUNKED. handles the heavy part of any cleanout: carrying, loading, hauling and sweeping up.

Here’s how a job in Banksville works: call or text (412) 905-9453 or send the request form, ideally with a few photos. We give you a free quote, show up in the window we agreed on, and do all the carrying and loading. We donate and recycle what we can, haul away the rest, and sweep up before we leave. JUNKED. is fully insured and licensed.

From Farm Settlement to City Neighborhood

Banksville was named by Alexander Carnahan in honor of his second wife’s family, the Bankses, and he laid out the town just after the Civil War. It was a farming and coal mining community, and the Little Saw Mill Run Railroad once connected it to the West End. Today it borders Ridgemont, Beechview, Dormont, Green Tree and Mt. Lebanon.

Banksville Park has a pool, playground, tennis and basketball courts and a ballfield, and five flights of city steps link streets to the businesses along Banksville Road. Real estate listings sometimes call the area Greentree City because it shares a border with Green Tree.

Jobs here range from moving cleanouts in apartments and townhouses to basement and garage clear-outs in single homes. We also pick up single pieces like a mattress, a treadmill or an old fridge.
