Safes are built not to move. That’s great when you’re using one, and a real problem when you’re cleaning out a house or office and need to get rid of it. A safe that held documents for decades is often bolted down, sitting in a basement corner or tucked in a closet with no easy way out.
JUNKED. hauls away home safes, fire safes and smaller office safes. Because safes vary so much in size and weight, we ask for a photo, the approximate size and where it sits before we book, so we can plan the crew and equipment.
Very large gun safes and vault-style safes may need a specialist mover. If yours is too big for us, we’ll tell you right away.
We take:
Clearing a whole house? See estate cleanouts. Safes often turn up there.
To plan the job:
Most safes are steel, often with a fireproof lining, so the metal can usually be recycled. A safe in good working order may find a new owner.
We donate and recycle what we can and haul away the rest. Once it’s out, you get back a corner of the room and one less thing to worry about when the house sells.
We handle safe removal in Canonsburg, Upper St. Clair, Peters Township and Mt. Lebanon, plus every town in our service area, about 15 miles around Canonsburg.
