Clear the Kitchen Before the Remodel

A new kitchen starts with an empty room. Before cabinets go in, the old ones have to come out, along with countertops, appliances, backsplash and sometimes the floor. Doing it yourself means weekends of work and a driveway full of debris.

JUNKED. handles non-structural kitchen tear-outs and the hauling that comes with them. We take out cabinets, counters, appliances and old flooring and haul everything away, so your contractor can start on a clean room.

We don’t do structural work, move walls or handle gas, plumbing or electrical. Those need licensed trades. We handle the tear-out and the cleanup.

What a Kitchen Tear-Out Includes

We can remove:

  • Upper and lower cabinets
  • Laminate, wood and stone countertops
  • Old ranges, dishwashers, fridges and microwaves, once disconnected
  • Backsplash tile and drywall behind it
  • Vinyl, laminate and tile flooring
  • Soffits and non-structural trim
  • All the debris, bagged and hauled away

Only need the cabinets out? See cabinet removal. For other rooms, see interior demolition.

Planning a Kitchen Tear-Out

Before demo day:

  • Empty cabinets, drawers and the pantry.
  • Have gas, water and electrical disconnected by licensed trades.
  • Decide what you want saved, like cabinets for the garage.
  • Tell us about the flooring and whether it’s coming out too.
  • Plan where the family will cook for a few days.

Less Waste, Faster Remodel

Cabinets and appliances in good shape can often be reused or donated. Metal goes to recycling, and the rest goes to proper disposal.

We donate and recycle what we can and haul away the rest. A fast, clean tear-out keeps the remodel on schedule.

Timing matters on a remodel. Book the tear-out a few days before your contractor’s start date, and tell us if any cabinets or appliances are being kept for a basement or garage. We set those aside and take everything else, so there’s nothing left for the crew to work around.

We handle kitchen demolition in Canonsburg, Upper St. Clair, Peters Township and Bethel Park, plus every town in our service area, about 15 miles around Canonsburg.
