A new furnace is a big upgrade. But sometimes the old unit, or pieces of it, end up staying in the basement because the installer didn’t haul it, or because it’s an old boiler that was replaced years ago and never moved. Furnaces and boilers are heavy, sharp-edged and usually sit at the bottom of a basement staircase.
JUNKED. carries out furnaces, boilers and the ductwork around them once they’ve been disconnected by a licensed HVAC technician. We bring them up the stairs, load them and haul them away, along with anything else that’s crowding the utility room.
We only haul units that are already disconnected. We don’t touch gas, oil, electrical or water connections.
We take:
We can’t take oil, fuel, oil tanks or any hazardous material. For the rest of the basement, see basement cleanouts.
To get it ready:
Furnaces, boilers and ductwork are mostly steel and iron, so most of it can be recycled as scrap metal. Cast iron radiators are especially heavy, so let us know how many you have.
We donate and recycle what we can and haul away the rest. Clearing the old unit makes the utility room easier to service and gives you back some basement space.
We handle furnace & boiler removal in Canonsburg, Mt. Lebanon, Bethel Park and Bridgeville, plus every town in our service area, about 15 miles around Canonsburg.
