Estate and downsizing cleanouts are a big part of our work in Mt. Lebanon. Many homes here have been in the same family for decades, and their attics and basements have held generations of belongings. When it’s time to clear the house, the job can feel overwhelming before it starts.

Before the first day:
We sort as we go. Furniture, household goods and clothing in good shape can be donated, metal and electronics get recycled, and the rest is hauled away.
We donate and recycle what we can and haul away the rest. When we’re done, the rooms are swept and ready for an estate sale company, a painter or a listing photographer.
Older Mt. Lebanon houses often have storage tucked into odd places, such as under-eave closets, attic corners, basement nooks and spaces off a back stairway. During an estate cleanout we check each of those spaces, so nothing gets left behind for the new owners to find. If the house is in Virginia Manor, Mission Hills or another neighborhood with larger homes, tell us how many floors and rooms there are so we can bring a big enough crew.
