Cross Creek Township is a quiet, rural township in western Washington County with 1,374 residents (2020 census) on about 26 square miles. It includes the community of Cross Creek and part of Avella.
The center of the township is about 12 miles from our Canonsburg base in a straight line. JUNKED. makes the drive out for farm properties and family homes alike.
Here’s how a job in Cross Creek Township works: call or text (412) 905-9453 or send the request form, ideally with a few photos. We give you a free quote, show up in the window we agreed on, and do all the carrying and loading. We donate and recycle what we can, haul away the rest, and sweep up before we leave. JUNKED. is fully insured and licensed.
The Wilson’s Mill Covered Bridge here was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Cross Creek Township has five borders: Smith Township to the north, Mount Pleasant Township to the east, Hopewell Township to the south, Independence Township to the southwest and Jefferson Township to the west and northwest.
Out here, most jobs involve barns, sheds and garages that have collected things for years, along with farmhouse cleanouts, old appliances, tires and scrap metal.
Tell us about the lane, gates and soft ground when you call so we can bring the right truck.
The Wilson’s Mill Covered Bridge is a reminder of how long families have farmed here. Cross Creek Township is one of the most rural places we serve, with long lanes and old farmsteads. Many properties have barns and sheds that have filled up over generations. We plan the job around the property: how close the truck can get, how far we need to carry, and what’s safe to lift.
We can work in stages if a family is sorting a farmhouse over several weekends.
Shed Removal: Old sheds taken down, contents and all.
Garage Cleanouts: Clear the bays so the car fits again.
Tire Disposal: Old tires picked up with the rest (may carry an extra fee).
Estate Cleanouts: Careful, patient help clearing a loved one’s home.
Yard Waste Removal: Brush, branches, leaves and storm debris.
Appliance Removal: Washers, dryers, stoves and fridges hauled away.
